The one trend I’m latching onto this week and not letting go is lace.
Lace jackets, lace shirts, lace tights… you name it. I want it. It’s uberfeminine, sexy, and can be safe for work and work functions if you play your cards right. And by right I mean not skanky.
This dress for instance by Thurley $695, is not safe for work:
May I also add that we not pair it with silver pumps? Let the dress do the talking and keep it simple.
This top by Diane Von Furstenburg $275
Another safe for work option is this jacket by Marc by Marc Jacobs $470:
All of these of course can be mixed and matched with some cheaper items, as well as you can finnd similar items for not so steep prices (i’d check forever 21 and h&m first).
til next time- grosses bises.

I’ll be the first to admit…. I shop like there’s a Princess title in front of my name. I’d rather starve than go without a pair of cute shoes and I’d surely trade a few of my love ones for this week’s Muse Must Have… Just kidding. Kind of.
I’m not trendy.. or rather rarely. But I really want a pair of booties. Ok a few pairs and these by Chloe are running the game…. A little peekaboo and alotta sex appeal. My type of shoe!
Chloe Key Hole Bootie
It’s Jacket season! Only my most favorite time of the year and I’m a junkie for anything military and really funky and Milly and Moschino are peaking my interests…
This coat is a clear reminder that military need not be associated with all things masculine. It’s the yin and the yang: the puffy feminine sleeves combined with a structured jacket.
This is my #1 favorite item this week. While granted my mother (the anti-fashion) would tell me that I could take my paintbrush and have a white coat without coating her A.Express with Moschino… I say this is the one coat that you don’t need to dress up. A colorful scarf and some leather gloves and you’re set for the cold winter! I know I’m excited.
I’m not one for purses that scream at anybody who passes by, but the Gucci Babouska collection have some bags that have been screaming my name. I think the key to wearing these bags, or any really “heavy” bag is the rest of your outfit must be simple. Wear too much at one time and look out for yourself in Glamour’s “Don’t” section. Don’t say I didn’t warn you.
my final must this season is straight off the runway and just in time for turkey holiday with the relatives. Looking at the pretty pattern on your shoulder will help distract from those awful questions by your great aunt sophie about when you’re getting married…. thanks Erdem.
til next time…. grosses bises.
